Horsing Around

Just did some spring cleaning recently and my sis is dumping her old clothes. Heh, she put on some weight, so what can I say. I lost some, and altho I have inherited her blouses (she has really nice ones) I certainly can't wear any of her bottoms. For those who know, she got a plus sized bottom =P. There's now a nice pile of old jeans she can't wear and I recently recycled them! Yeah for recycling old clothes hee! Still trying to get used to blogging, but with all the extra time now that its the holidays, its not yet a prob. Going for Pirates 3 with the gang tomorrow evening =D.

This is a book cover using said jeans, the bunny is an iron-on transfer I bought from AranziAranzo.net (lovely Jap site with cute stuff).

Below is a denim horse I made out of my sister's jeans. I got the outline from an Ikea tray i bought. I went to Chinatown and bought more of those crystal rhinestone things. Going to go mad with erm!

Making fabric labels

I was searching for a way to purchase cheap woven/fabric labels to attach to the things that I sew. What I found was way too expensive for a person with my kind of budget. Instead, I got a personal blog site that taught you how to make one using iron-on transfers.

It was simple, easy and way way cheaper than what I would have paid. For all those diy crafters out there, this is really the simplest way to make affordable labels/tags for your sewing creations.

The webbie is freshvintage. try searching for it, I can't recall the exact url at the moment although I might add it later. Will be including it in the links section when I get it up. Below is a pic of my label creation. I intended it to have a rough, unfinished edge with a frayed look, so not critics please =P.

Rising and falling

How many blogs and startups have I attempted? I used to write on Livejournal as well, but I've never been one for writing in dairies and now I'm really not one for blogging either. But if I don't attempt to, it just about means I haven't got a life....

Since quiting my job and attempting to find some other way to survive in this rat race, I hardly meet up with my friends and the most communic I get with them is through the forum board Kokopops came up with.

Ah enough with the complaining and on with whatever. I just wanna use some way to show peeps my creations without having to fork out a single cent =P. I have below average photographic skills so excuse all the lame pics that will be coming in. And the links to old has-been webbies I have let lie fallow.
